This national competition invites Australian students enrolled in years 10, 11 and 12 to envision themselves as newly elected Members of the House of Representatives and write a 90-second speech about the issues they are passionate about.

The winning entrant from each year group (10, 11 and 12) will be flown to Canberra with their parent or guardian to deliver their speech live in Parliament House and undertake an exclusive program:

• A formal presentation with certificates presented by the Speaker of the House, Milton Dick MP
• Private tours of Parliament House
• Attendance at Question Time
• Morning tea with the Speaker of the House and competition judges
• Acknowledgement on the Parliament House website and social media channels
